ACTORS and actresses will be suffering from last minute nerves today as they take to the stage for their first ever outdoor performance.
Members of Darwen Library Theatre are due to perform their rendition of J R R Tolkein's classic 'The Hobbit' after months of tireless rehearsing.
And organisers are hoping the weather stays fine for the open-air show which will take the audience on a magical adventure around Bold Venture Park.
People attending the performance are reminded they will not be allowed entry unless they have a ticket and strict security measures will be in place.
Tickets are also on sale for A Midsummer Night's Dream which will also take place in the park and will be performed by the internationally renowned open-air Shakespeare company Illyria.
The group put on the historic classic as their first ever performance when they were first launched 10 years ago and chose the play to celebrate the special anniversary.
Tickets for the event on Wednesday August 15 cost £8.£5.50 concessions.
