PARENTS living on the Tunstead Estate in Stacksteads have been advised to keep their children under control.
A letter has been sent from Bacup Neighbourhood Office to homes in the area following complaints from elderly people living in bungalows on Lord Avenue.
The letter says: "I am writing to all the residents on the Tunstead estate concerning children riding bikes and running around the bungalows on Lord Avenue.
"You must appreciate these bungalows are for the elderly and some residents are extremely ill and excessive noise and nuisance is causing these residents extreme distress.
"I would therefore ask you to point out these factors to any children in your household and make them aware that the bungalows on Lord Avenue are not a play area."
