JAMES Green used his £80 lottery winnings to wine and dine his estranged girlfriend, as well as buying presents for her and her daughter, a court heard.
But less than a week later Yvonne O'Flynn had Green arrested for breaching a restraining order and, because it was the second breach, he ended up spending a weekend in police cells.
Magistrates scrapped the order after hearing that Miss O'Flynn accepted she had instigated contact with Green and been on numerous days out with him.
Green, of Shetland Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two breaches of a restraining order imposed in March.
He was given an absolute discharge on both and the order was revoked.
