MEMBERS of Feniscowles Action in the Community Team are celebrating after winning a National Lottery grant.
The pay-out, made as part of the National Lottery Awards for All programme, will allow the group to:
Work with artists and members of the local community to create an "interactive" sculpture for the Feniscowles Millennium Gardens. There will be free workshops in mosaic and willow sculpture.
Following the installation of the sculpture in late October, hold a celebratory opening day in the gardens, with a parade, carnival band and art workshops.
Vicky Procter, a member of the group, said: "We're really excited and can't wait to get started."
The first workshop session is at Feniscowles Community Hall in York Street on Monday from 1pm to 4pm.
"The group would be very happy for Feniscowles residents to attend," said Vicky.
