THE stars will be out for Lancashire cricketer Graham Lloyd's benefit match at Nelson Cricket Club.
The match between a Graham Lloyd XI, replete with a string of Lancashire stars, and a Nelson XI, which will feature many of the Lancashire League's top professionals, will be held on Thursday, July 26 starting at 1pm.
Lloyd, who has served both Accrington and Ribblesdale Wanderers as well as the county side, has already pencilled in county team-mates Michael Atherton, John Crawley, Andrew Flintoff, Warren Hegg, Peter Martin and Neil Fairbrother, who are all England internationals.
The Nelson side will be led by the host club's South African professional Wade Wingfield and will also include Bacup's Australian paid man Sean Young, Dale Benkenstein the pro at Burnley, Colne's Marcus North and former Nelson and Colne pro Joe Scuderi, who will face his county clubmates.
Entry to the game is £3 for adukts and £2 for concessions, with food and drink being served from noon onwards.
