A NEW race is the Chas Dickinson Memorial Relay next Wednesday, in memory of an athlete who died while out training at the beginning of May, and the event will raise funds for the British Heart Foundation.

To be held at Entwistle Reservoir at 7:30pm it is for teams of two, each running 2.5 miles. Registration is at Entwistle Car park.

The prizes will be presented at the Chetham Arms at Chapeltown.

The fourth of five Woodend 4M Night Races is also on Wednesday.

As usual it is held from the Ley Inn pub, Back Lane, Clayton Le Woods, Chorley.

Start is 7:30pm.
