A DOMESTIC gas boiler burst into flames after being sprayed with a flammable cleaning agent.
A fire crew tackled the blaze which broke out in the kitchen of a property in Chesham Road, Bury.
Officers said the boiler had been sprayed with the cleaning chemical as the owner attempted to release a faulty electrical switch.
But the equipment had not been turned off and the substance caused the boiler to ignite.
Damage was confined to the unit and no one was injured during the fire on Thursday night (July 12).
