A CONSERVATION group is staging a series of one-day courses in Whitefield to prevent food poisoning.
BTCV Bury will be conducting one-day basic food hygiene courses for its volunteers and the public.
Taking place on July 23, August 20, and October 22, the courses run to Chartered Institute of Environmental Health standards.
A group spokesman said: "Cases of food poisoning are on the increase and always rise during hot weather.
"The courses are ideal for anyone interested in finding out about safe procedures for handling food, especially those involved in the catering industry."
The sessions will be held at BCTV's base at the Barn Countryside Centre at Philips Park, Whitefield.
For more information and a booking form for the course, which costs £20, contact Nick Martin at BCTV on 796 6404.
