CRICKETING star Jack Duerden is following in his big brother's footsteps.
Big-hitting Jack, a pupil at St Pius X School, has stunned his 1st XI team-mates with his batting this season.
The 11-year-old from Penwortham has a batting average of 31 runs per game including a whopping 66 not out in a match against local rivals Highfield.
And he's running close behind his older brother Ben, aged 13, who plays for Vernons Cricket Club in Preston and turns out for their U13, U15 and even their U17 side on occasions.
Jack's performances at the wicket have led St Pius to victory in seven of their eight matches this season.
Now he's hoping to catch the eye of Lancashire County Cricket selectors and be asked to attend trials.
