FOX Lane was the stage for a landslide victory on Saturday as Preston defeated Leyland and Farington by 193 runs, proving that Preston are capable of turning the season around in emphatic style.
This now gives Preston an unbeaten run of seven matches and Saturday's score of 261-8 declared is believed to be the club's biggest ever league score.
Professional Raouf Akbar's with 102 not out was Preston's second century-maker of the season.
It took Akbar 140 balls in 171 minutes to achieve the century, and included two sixes and eight fours.
In return Leyland managed only a meagre 68 runs in 29 overs.
Bowler Rehman Shah was the pick of the Preston bowlers with four wickets for one run in eight overs, seven of which were maidens.
Preston left Fox Lane with one of their biggest victories in nearly 50 years.
And the victory was considered "payback" as the home side destroyed Preston earlier in the season for a paltry 45 -- just going to show how Preston have turned their season around in amazing fashion in such a short time.
Not too long ago, they were at the bottom of the table after losing their first four games.
Ten games later, they are eighth in the league, just eight points behind Darwen.
