POLICE could be ordered to use tranquilliser guns after the fatal shootings of two men in four days.

One mentally sick lad in Liverpool was waving a sword, and another was carrying a gun-shaped cigarette lighter when they were floored by marksmen.

The move would be a bit late for the 13 who have died as a result of fatal shootings by the police in the past six years.

You'd have imagined they would have thought of it sooner.
