MORE places may be up for grabs for Leigh area students at the prestigious Bolton School.
In response to demand, a third class has been added to the pre-preparatory department, the junior schools are being enlarged and additional places have been made available in the senior school.
The reception class is now full for next term but from September 2002, pupils will enter the junior schools aged seven instead of eight.
The call for places in the senior school and sixth form is equally high and additional places have been made available there too.
The school's policy is that no academically able child should be barred from receiving education on the grounds of inability to pay, and the number of Foundation Grants and bursaries has grown.
