HOT-shot Josh Rampling is aiming to Kick For a Million this weekend.
The 10-year-old football fan, of Dean Road, Golborne, was bang on target in Asda Golborne's goal in the hole competition in May.
He was one of only two youngsters who scored a bull-seye - and repeated the feat twice to go through to the second round of the national competition.
As a result of his victory, he was sent on a soccer training course last week and this weekend takes part in round two of the challenge in Manchester. If he is successful, he will be in the run for the £1m prize.
This week, the store is appealing to shoppers to nominate their young hero as part of the company's 2001 campaign to Stand Up for Kids.
Nominations can be made until July 29 and the winner will be chosen from 10 finalists.
General store manager Arthur Molyneux said: "We know there are certain children in our community that do work tirelessly to help others or have done something special. We want to take the opportunity to recognise them and show our support."
Nomination forms are available at the customer services desk.
lSeven cleaners and the Golborne store events co-ordinator, Lesley Kinsella, gave a helping hand at the annual Derian House gala day.
They got stuck in in the kitchen and on the stalls and helped to raise £13,000 for the haven for terminally ill children.
n Two fruit and vegetable assistants at the store, Pauline Else, of Beech Road, and Diane Hughes, of Manor Avenue, both Golborne, have retired after 39 years service between them.
