LAST Friday saw the last-ever edition of one of my favourite TV quizzes, 100 Per Cent.
The no-frills Channel 5 quiz was easy for settee contestants and was a great general knowledge booster.
The quiz comprised three contestants answering 100 questions by selecting one of three alternatives - some very silly - to the distinctive voice of question master, Robin Houston, who was never seen.
More than 3,000 contestants have competed in more than 1,000 editions in the past four years - and I've done most of them, scoring - on average I would say - 72 per cent.
The star of the show was one of the longest-reigning contestants. Fans will probably remember David who, when asked if he would return, answered "Yes I will" and his smile got sillier and wider everyday. He had me in stitches.
I'm not sorry to see the end of many quizzes on TV, but I shall miss that.
I think they must have run out of questions.
