THE Centurions are still in the dark over their application to join Super League.
Leigh along with Widnes, Rochdale and Oldham, have all applied for franchises to join the elite division should they be successful in the NFP Grand Final next week.
Leigh's coach Paul Terzis says: "I can't understand why the rugby league authorities have yet to announce their decision on whether there will be relegation from the Super League. It's a complete mystery."
Terzis believes that the game must implement a minimum five year plan of action to merge the game at all levels before it can move forward.
"We've got to bring things into line with Super League and that means the NFP down through the amateur game and all playing in the summer.
"We will never compete with soccer over here in winter so let's switch everything over to summer and then perhaps we could start to get some stability back.
"We must also introduce clear rules for promotion and relegation to and from the NFP level and stick with it."
Terzis suggests that the NFP should consist of 14 clubs, playing each other on a home and away basis. There should also be promotion and relegation with two up and two down from Super League.
He adds: "Promote the League winners with the second club or even the Grand Final winners, figuring in a play-off for promotion with the second bottom club in Super League."
