WE have been privileged to view a splendid video by Stewart Bone on the magical evening of last September when Burnley's canal was the venue for a many artistic events which also included a grand and humorous opening by the playwright, Alan Bennett.
In the latter part of the video, we were privileged to hear the amazing accomplishment of a beautiful lady violinist. She held the canal-bank audience spellbound throughout the whole evening as she played in the romantic setting of the candle-lit canal from Healeywood Bridge.
Her repertoire was classicist mainly and was played with such verve so as to reach out in the candle-lit night to her faithful audience.
But where now is Sharon -- once a regular visitor to Burnley's shopping precinct?
DAVID WILDE, Rosehill Road, Burnley, and CAROLE GALBRAITH, Manchester Road, Burnley.
