SLEEPY Glazebury sprang in to life on Saturday when the annual gala was held in the north Cheshire village.

Colourful floats and carnival characters, a vintage steam engine and farmyard friends made All Saint's annual event one to remember for happy gala-goers, none of whom was more delighted than newly crowned gala queen, 14-year-old Culcheth High School pupil, Gemma Ollerton.
