THE Lightowler sisters are on a roll following their latest success.
Lynsey (22) and Aimi (18), of Eastfields, Radcliffe, got their skates on and each won top titles at the British Dance Championships for artistic roller-skating.
Lynsey won the Senior Solo title and Aimi, a Bury College student, picked up the Junior Solo shield at the event held in Maidstone at the weekend.
"We've both been roller-skating since the moment we could walk. It's something we have always really enjoyed," said Lynsey, who has just graduated from university with a BA Hons degree in sports science, business management and information technology.
Both girls skated for Manchester United Roller Skating and are full of praise for their coach, Carl Stirling. "I must admit I didn't expect to do so well because I've only done figure skating at competition level before," said Lynsey.
Now both girls are preparing to represent Great Britain in a European championship to be held in Holland later this year.
"We desperately need sponsorship so if any individuals or companies can help they can call us on 280 0619," said Lynsey.
