STAFF at the Lateshop in Bowness Avenue, Carr Mill are organising an emergency services fun day on Thursday August 2 from noon until 5pm and are hoping to raise money for the local community as well as a little community spirit.
There will be a range of activities including a display of old and new fire engines, police cars, bikes and horses, various side shows, face painting, disco dancing and the Saints players and the mayor will join in the fun.
And individual groups will also be raising money for their own needs. St Patricks and St Davids churches will hold stalls to raise money for the churches, the tenants association will provide a bouncy castle and the Silhouette Dance Club will show a disco dance celebration.
Everyone is welcome and volunteers are needed to help out on the day.
