DAREDEVIL Nicola Robinson is set to leap 120 feet down the side of a Liverpool hotel - in memory of her late grandma.
Nicola, 26, from Toll Bar in St Helens is taking part in The Cancer Research Campaign 'Close To The Edge' event on Saturday July 29 by abseiling off the Holiday Inn in Liverpool city centre and is hoping to raise a large sum of money for the worthy cause.
Nicola's grandma died of cancer almost 20 years ago, but her memory has spurred Nicola on to make the sponsored jump.
Nicola, a pay roll clerk at Johnsons The Cleaners in Liverpool who will make the descent with two of her work colleagues, said: "When I heard about the event I decided to do it because my grandma died of cancer and this is an opportunity to fund research into cures."
She continued: "My mum's friend also has a son who has died from cancer at just 28 years old. I've never done anything like this before but I'll try anything once!"
