SUZANNE Mitchell, 26, of Mosley Street, Blackburn, was bound over in the sum of £50 to keep the peace for six months by Blackburn magistrates, after admitting a breach of the peace.
The court heard that police went to investigate a report of a female chasing children in the street. Mitchell, who had been spoken to earlier in the day about her behaviour, emerged from a back alley with her fists clenched and appeared to be very agitated.
When approached, she became abusive and lashed out at a female officer.
Ian Huggan, defending, said Mitchell's own daughter was in care and it was her birthday in two days time. "My client had been drinking and she became depressed and full of remorse about her daughter," said Mr Huggan.
