THE course of true love ran smoothly for Martin and Helena Wilkinson in the Isle of Man.
The fanatical Burnley fans spent their honeymoon watching their team in the Manx tournament and it was Helena's idea.
"It was her choice to come here and I didn't mind at all," said 33-year-old Martin.
The couple married on Saturday, July 21, in Loughborough where they met at the University.
Helena is originally from Southampton and Martin from York but all Martin's family are from Todmorden and he has been brought up a Clarets fan.
Helena was a Southampton fan until six years ago when Martin persuaded her to follow Burnley. Now the two are season ticket holders at Turf Moor and never miss a home match -- and missed only two away games last season.
In fact, they return from the Isle of Man tomorrow and it's straight to the Everton game, then they will go to the Lake District for a few days and then it's back home to Loughborough via the Chelsea friendly at Turf Moor on Saturday afternoon.
"Our friends think we're mad but they are used to us by now," said Helena.
"Everyone told us how pretty the Isle of Man was but we were just interested in the football. It has just taken over our lives!"
