GIFTED junior school pupils attended Fearns High School in Stacksteads during their summer holidays.
The summer school was arranged to build confidence and assist the transition between primary school and secondary education.
The pupils worked alongside years seven to nine students under the theme of recreating the opening of a new Harry Potter book.
Activities included a study of prejudice and witchcraft, a science lesson on potions, practical jokes and a visit to the National Museum of Photography, Film and TV.
