YOUNGSTERS rose to the challenge when a 20ft climbing wall was set up in a Blackburn car park.
It was one of a host of activities for the young people when the Duke of Edinburgh's Award Show Trailer rolled into town.
Located on the car park at Waves swimming centre, the huge trailer came complete with personal computers, interactive advice, giant video screens and the impressive wall. The event was available for 14-25 year olds and participants on the Blackburn with Darwen Council fun scheme Passport 2001, aimed at giving young people the chance to find out more about the Duke of Edinburgh's Award scheme.
Local residents interested in becoming volunteers for the scheme also attended.
