A NUMBER of Chorley roundabouts have been given a face-lift.
The four on the A6 by-pass up to Commercial Road have been spruced up by Chorley Leisure Services.
New flowers, rockeries and turf have been provided to make the approach to the centre look even more attractive.
Mayor of Chorley Councillor Dennis Edgerley saw the newly-planted roundabouts for himself and said: "These roundabouts are now really attractive and are good advertisement as visitors enter the town centre.
"The sponsorship deal with the council has proved its worth and is a good example of local businesses working in partnership with the council to improve the environment."
Councillor Mary Wilson, cabinet member for leisure services, said: "I am really pleased that we have started to re-landscape these roundabouts.
"They are now very attractive and are a credit to the leisure services staff who designed and planted them.
"I want to continue this programme of improvements to brighten up our roundabouts and green spaces and to enhance the quality of the borough's floral displays.
"The council is always looking for ways to improve its services year on year and here is just another example of us putting our ideas into practice."
