A SINGLE-storey extension to provide a sun lounge at a bungalow is set to be refused by planners meeting tonight.
The extension, at Goodshawfold Close, Loveclough, prompted one letter of objection from a resident who said it would be a further encroachment on what was originally proposed as a green area.
A report from officers says: "The west wall of the approved bungalow contains only an obscured bathroom window. The proposed extension would contain a very large picture window overlooking the front garden of the neighbouring property at a distance of some 5m from the common boundary.
"Not only does the proposal fail to secure adequate privacy for the occupants to secure their peaceful enjoyment of the dwelling house it also fails to respect the privacy of highway users."
