A TRIO of East Lancashire companies have pooled their resources and between them they have floored a children's charity.
Blackburn Childcare Society is grateful to Cavalier Carpets, Duralay and the Glen Mill Group -- for teaming up to carpet a suite of rooms at its Wilpshire headquarters, for free.
Cavalier Carpets, based in Blackburn, provided the quality rolls to fit out the rooms. Duralay of Rossendale pitched in with the requisite underlay and the Accrington-based Glen Mill Group completed the team effort by fitting the lot!
John Tempest, Blackburn Child Care Society director, said: "We are obviously extremely pleased that the three companies have come together to help us out with the carpets.
"They have provided us with a great asset. They have enhanced our training and seminar rooms immensely. Many people have commented on the improvement."
Peter Shearon, the managing director of the Accrington-based Glen Mill Group, added: "We have worked with Cavalier and Duralay on many occasions in the past and we are happy to be associated with this project. It's a really good cause."
Brenda Thomas of Cavalier Carpets and Nigel Owen, contracts manager for Duralay, joined Peter to hand over the gifts to John Tempest.
