IRECENTLY spent some time in Ward 19 at Blackburn Infirmary having a hip replacement operation. I cannot praise the staff too highly -- they were marvellous.
Having arrived home, I had the task of learning to walk with the aid of crutches, not an easy manoeuvre at any time, but try walking on the pavements on Ernlouen Close, not an easy task as they are in an awful state of disrepair.
They certainly have not been maintained since they were dug up for cable television quite some time ago.
I notice most of the adjacent streets and pavements have been relaid. Why not Ernlouen Close?
J DUCKETT (Mr), Ernlouen Close, Blackburn.
