HYNDBURN residents are to gets a chance to quiz Health Service managers about plans to set up a single NHS trust for mental health care.
The plans, published by the Lancashire Mental Health Project at the end of June, aim to provide Lancashire with an overall body to co-ordinate care of the mentally ill.
At present, the services are provided by Lancashire's seven NHS trusts and the consultation period runs until September 24. Finlay Robertson is the director of the project, which was set up by the NHS North West Regional office to lead the development of services in Lancashire.
He said: "The new trust will provide a range of services to adults with mental health problems."
