POLICE are warning homeowners to be careful after revealing two burglaries in the Sudell area of Darwen were linked.
And they have appealed for anybody with information to come forward and help catch raiders responsible for breaking into houses on Garnett Street and Sarah Street.
They thieves got into a Sarah Street property and stole a 42 inch television. Police said someone must have witnessed this event because the television's size mean it would need more than two people and a van to transport it away.
There was no sign of a forced entry into the property.
The burglars then forced the front door of the Garnett Street house and stole an ITV digital receiver, three mobile phones and several CDs.
Police Sergeant Andrea Bradbury said: "We seem to have somebody active in that area, and we think they are linked. Those streets are just around the corner from each other.
" We want anybody with any information to come forward and help us trace the offenders."
Anyone with information should call Darwen Police on 01254 701777.
