POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a road rage attack in which a man suffered facial injuries after an iron bar was thrown at him.
The driver of a burgundy Ford Escort, part registration E34, got out of the car following an incident involving a bicycle on Sunday, July 22, at 4.45pm in Larches Lane, Ashton-on-Ribble, Preston.
He swore at the cyclist and a threw an iron bar at him. The bar hit the cyclist, causing a deep cut to his face. The driver returned to his vehicle and drove off.
He is described as white, aged 40-50, 6ft, proportionate build with slightly curly, fair hair and possibly a moustache and glasses. He wore a light checked shirt and jeans.
At 6.50pm on Thursday, July 26, a 14 year-old girl was sitting with friends behind Whitby Youth Club, Ingol, when she heard a man cough loudly. As the girl turned round she saw the man performing an indecent act. The man then ran off up Whitby Avenue.
He was white, aged 30, with dark hair and a sun tan. He was wearing a white top, blue trousers, a purple baseball cap and brown boots. Five bikes worth £3,000 were stolen from Pedal Power Cycles, in Sharoe Green Lane, Fulwood, between 4pm and 6.15pm on Friday, July 20.
The cycles are believed to have been taken by a group of white and Asian youths aged from 14-15, wearing black trousers and white shirts and seen in the shop.
The cycles were a Scott Octane mountain bike; a DMR child's cycle with silver frame; a Proflex mountain bike; a Raleigh Elan racing bike with white frame with green speckles and a silver mountain bike.
At 12.30pm on Wednesday, July 18, a thief approached a 12-year-old boy in Preston North End's car park, and asked the boy if he could have his bike. When the boy declined the thief asked the boy for money before getting on his bike, riding around the car park and off down Deepdale Road toward the town centre.
The thief was white, around 16-years, 5ft 7ins, spotty complexion and wearing blue jeans, a yellow and cream jacket and Nike baseball cap.
The bike was a red and grey Townsend Axis child's mountain bike.
