TWO women were beaten up by men in separate incidents during a night of violence in Morecambe.
In the first incident, a visitor to Morecambe had her nose broken on the resort's prom after asking a man where the best local nightlife was.
The 29-year-old woman from Dewsbury, who is staying at a local caravan park, was on Marine Road Central at around 7.30pm on Friday evening.
She was walking close to the Eric Morecambe statue when she approached the man. He turned around and pushed her to the ground before punching her three or four times, breaking her nose.
The man was dragged off his victim by a group of bystanders, but was able to escape on foot.
The man is described as Asian, 26 to 27 years old, 5ft 6in to 5ft 7in tall, of slim build, with curly hair. He wore a white shirt, a black waistcoat and black trousers.
His victim also described him as looking slightly feminine, and said he may possibly have been wearing eye-liner.
Det Sgt Mark Salisbury said: "This is a completely unprovoked attack on a visitor to the town.
"We are currently checking CCTV footage from the area to see if we can identify this man."
A few hours later, at 1.30am on Saturday morning, a local woman in her 30s was attacked by two men outside the town hall on Marine Road East.
The men approached the woman from behind and punched her in the back of her head and pushed her to the floor. The woman got up and was punched again, this time to the stomach.
The men eventually made off when she screamed.
The first man is described as white, 5ft 8in to 5ft 9in tall, in his late 20s, with untidy blond hair.
The second man is described as white, 6ft tall, in his late 20s, with a skinhead haircut and an unshaven face and piercing blue eyes.
He wore a black shirt.
