GARDEN fans John Whitford and Brenda Ellis have reaped a bumper harvest from their fund-raising efforts.
They made more than hay while the sun shone on their Barrowford home this summer -- raising hundreds of plants for sale in aid of Burnley and Pendle Hospice.
Apart from growing flowers for the Hospice's annual Garden Party in May, John and Brenda also sell plants from their Appleby Drive garden throughout the year and have now raised a magnificent £2,000.
Hospice fundraising manager Kaye Bartle said: John and Brenda's contribution to hospice fundraising is phenomenal.
The Garden Party wouldn't exist without the effort they put in throughout the year and we are very grateful to them."
The green-fingered duo will hand over a cheque for £2,000 to hospice fundraising chief Frank Chadwick at their latest plant sale at Appleby Drive on Sunday.
