MANY thanks to "name & address supplied" for bringing a breath of fresh air to the traffic congestion problem in "Drive like an Egyptian".
I think it's only a shame they didn't take the argument to its logical conclusion. Surely in this modern age, it's time that selfish and inconvenient so called "pedestrians" were banned from our cities? At a stroke, traffic flow would be eased, and there would be a tremendous boost to the local economy through the expansion of the taxi service.
Additionally, the wasted space occupied by the redundant pavements could be released for free parking for the beleaguered motorist.
I'd also like to suggest that the council bite the bullet and build both bypasses, allowing the electorate the true democracy of voting with their wheels!
