Dear Sir,
I read with disgust last week's Friday Journal.
Who can feel sorry for the inside traders of Leigh market when £20,000 has been spent on a fan system to keep them cool, and the outside treaders have endured appalling conditions for months?
No-one seems to have helped those outside traders who have stood the car park in the most cruel of winters this year.
I understand they have not received any compensation or help of any kind. Yet, at the request of Leigh Market Traders' Association £20,000 of council tax payers' money has been spent so flippantly to help the inside.
I suggest someone looks closely at the injustice of this situation. Come on councillors, sit up and take note.
