MORNING coffee took on a new meaning for Blackpool Football Club manager Steve McMahon when he took to the skies to kick off a charity fund-raiser.
Neville Smith, of Kirkham-based Smith Electrical Group, supported a special preview of Macmillan Cancer Relief's World's Biggest Coffee Morning by taking the soccer boss on a trip over Blackpool and the Fylde in his helicopter.
Other celebrities and business leaders supported the unusual event at Blackpool Airport. The main coffee morning is to take place on September 28. The Citizen-backed Macmillan Windmill Appeal aims to raise £2.9million for a new cancer department at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
