CANNY canines of all shapes and sizes from the Fylde turned out in force to be fitted with the latest technology designed to keep dogs safe.
The National Canine Defence League visited Lytham St Annes Square and Fairhaven Lake with its special microchipping unit. The roadshow was held in conjunction with Fylde Borough Council as part of the NCDL's ground breaking "Give a Dog a Life" campaign aimed at reducing the number of stray and abandoned dogs in the UK.
Dog wardens Alistair Donald and Shauna Ingham hailed the event a massive success with 232 pooches microchipped over four days. Alistair said: "Everything was in our favour from the weather to the superb locations."
