TWO hearty Cleveleys men will prove they are wheel-y caring when they embark on a cycle ride from Land's End to John O'Groats in aid of two Fylde charities.
David Johnson, 53, (on left) and Malcolm Moss, 51, will attempt to cover the distance in nine days, aiming at 100 miles a day, to raise funds for Trinity Hospice and Derian House.
The expedition will be David's second Lands End to John O'Groats ride. He last made the epic cycle trip 28 years ago.
And the two cyclists have been given a van to support their cycle odyssey -- from August 1 to 9 -- by Poulton motor company Chris Allen Ford.
EIGHT big-hearted Poulton men will also get on their bikes for a Land's End to John O'Groats charity ride on August 13.
They are raising money for the Macmillan Windmill Appeal and St James's Liver Unit in Leeds and their funds will be given a pedal-powered boost with a fundraising event at The Residence nightclub on Vicarage Road in Poulton tomorrow night (Friday). A fun day at Cottam Hall playing fields on August 26 will be held to raise further funds for Macmillan and St James's.
