POLICE fear a missing quantity of prescribed morphine tablets could prove fatal if they are wrongly consumed.
Ten small brown morphine tablets - embossed with MAPP on one side - were inside a Ford Focus car, stolen from St Helens Road in Leigh, last Friday afternoon. A police spokesman said: "If four or more of these tablets are taken, they could prove fatal. Anyone finding the drugs should hand them in to their nearest police station." Contact police on 0161 872 5050 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
