FROM Monday Tesco customers in Clitheroe needn't leave the house.
The Duck Street Store is launching an online grocery shopping service where customer in the area will be able to shop from home and have groceries delivered to their door.
More than one million customers nationwide have registered to shop online, selecting from more than 20,000 products.
Tesco was the first supermarket chain to offer its customers the convenience of Internet shopping and now offers the service from 241 stores in the UK.
By visiting the website, customers can select and order all their provisions 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Orders received by 4pm can be delivered the next day where slots are available.
Every order is processed by a team of specially trained 'shoppers' who select each item from the list.
Once the order has been selected it is carefully packaged and loaded into the specially refrigerated vans ready for delivery.
Frozen goods are stored in the van's freezer compartment to ensure that goods don't melt.
