IREAD with disgust about the police officers who are to claim compensation over the Bradford riots.

They claim they are suffering from stress. Surely, when they join the police, they must know what they have to face -- If you join the Army, you expect to be shot at.

I hope their claim is rejected. Not only that, they should be sacked, or at least put on school patrols with the proviso that they only work with infants, for if they dealt with older children, they might suffer stress again.

It is quite obvious they haven't the bottle to do their job, so they must be a pretty useless bunch.

I think the Brownies or the Girl Guides would do a better job.
