GHAUSIA Girls High School, Nelson, hopes to escape legal action tomorrow when a report is submitted to the council's Nelson Committee detailing work carried out at the school.
School governors were warned that if improvement works were not complete by the end of the summer holidays, legal action would be taken by the council.
During the summer the IT room has been relocated from an attic room to the first floor, fire resisting doors have been repaired and self closing units have been fitted, the fire alarm system has been repaired and white lines have been painted on all external steps.
Planners recommend no further action should be taken against the school provided work has been carried out in accordance with amended plans.
