THREE men from Earby and Colne were due to appear at Burnley Magistrates Court today in connection with a knife attack in Colne on Friday.
Amir Afzal, 31, of Atkinson Street, Colne, Paul Dwyer, 24, of The Crescent, in Colne, and Darren Russell, 31, of Victoria Road, Earby, were all charged with wounding with intent.
They were arrested following an incident in which Anthony Fallon, 39, of Burrans Meadow, Colne, had his left leg slashed.
Mr Fallon is today recovering in Burnley General Hospital after undergoing surgery on his leg. Police officers were called to Burrans Meadow at around 2.45pm on Friday following reports of a stabbing.
It is believed that either a machete or heavy knife was used in the attack because of the depth of the wound.
