CHORLEY'S Lora Fairclough picked up an £11,125 cheque at the Weetabix British Women's Open at Sunningdale -- but it could have been so much better.
The 31-year-old finished joint 21st, three under par despite starting yesterday's final round eight under.
An amazing five-under-par 67 on Saturday had catapulted her into contention before disaster struck on the 14th when she found a ditch and scored a double bogey.
Kirsty Taylor, who is originally from Clitheroe, finished 67th after rounds of 72, 73, 77 and 74. She picked up a cheque for £1,000.
