A BIG-hearted handyman or woman is needed to give Bury Society for the Blind a helping hand.
The Bolton Street shop, which provides advice and assistance, has a number of odd jobs that need doing and is hoping that someone will volunteer their services for free.
Committee member Councillor Yvonne Wright said: "There are some lights that need fitting and some painting work to be done, but the prices we have been quoted are very high.
"Members go out in all weathers rattling their collecting tins to help the blind and visually impaired, but we don't want to have to break into that money to pay for this work when it would be better spent on the society's users themselves."
