AN unusual visitor has made its home in a Great Harwood garden -- leading for an appeal by the homeowner.
For the past two weeks or more an exotic bird -- which resident Catherine Hounslow seems to think is a parrot -- has popped up in the garden of Catherine's Whalley Road home.
Although the brightly coloured bird is quite welcome at the Hounslow's, feasting on nuts and bread, Catherine fears the onset of colder weather may be harmful to the creature.
Catherine said the bird is yellow, has a red head and chest with a white bib. It's tail is blue.
She is appealing for the owner to contact the Lancashire Evening Telegraph who will then put them in touch with Catherine to make sure the bird is safely returned.
