THE mother of a man who is believed to have died from a drugs overdose told an inquest opening he had "cleaned himself up."
Rita Bradshaw's son Shawn was found dead at his home on Melville Street, Burnley, last Friday. He was 27.
Mrs Bradshaw, of Gannow Lane, Burnley, told the Burnley hearing, at the town's Magistrates' Court, she had been to visit her son last Friday with another son and left around 2.30pm. Shawn seemed perfectly all right.
Mrs Bradshaw said she had gone away to Scotland and about 9.45pm, received a phone call from Shawn's girlfriend to say he had died.
East Lancashire Coroner David Smith adjourned the inquest.
He said samples had been sent off for toxicology analysis and it may be six weeks before the results were known and the cause of death of death could be established.
