ST LUKE'S, Brierfield, Parochial Church Council has been given the green light by councillors to start work on two extensions to the church hall in St James Street.
This will include adding a single-storey extension to the St James Street side of the building which will wrap around the front of the hall, as well as replacing the roof on the existing two-storey extension at the Sackville Street end of the building.
The extensions will provide toilets, a bar and kitchen and storerooms.
The application was granted with a condition that the parking area with four spaces near the Sackville Street end of the site must be provided before the extensions are brought in to use.
