DANNY COID, Blackpool's versatile young midfielder, may miss the start of the season after picking up an injury on the side's pre-season tour of Scotland.
Coid damaged the medial ligament in his right knee during the last game of Pool's tour, the defeat at Clyde.
The player himself thinks that the injury will keep him out of action for about a month, although club physio Phil Horner was hesitant to put a timescale on the recovery time.
Reserve and youth team coach Mike Davies was pleased with the side's performance in Saturday's 1-1 draw at Rhyl.
"The lads have done well. I was pleased with the performance and the attitude shown by the more senior players who were in the side." said Davies.
Phil Clarkson scored for the Tangerines, while Danny Barton replied for Rhyl.
"The result wasn't really a fair reflection of the game," said Davies. "We could have had more and their goal was a result of an individual error."
