A DARWEN company has been lauded as its staff rubbed shoulders with the rich and famous after an award spree.
Chapman Envelopes, Grimshaw Bridge, has won three awards from separate ceremonies.
First the staff met Tony Blair when they received a British Safety Council National Award at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London.
This was in recognition of their lower than average accident rates, good safety policies and a commitment to health and safety.
Then came the British Printing Industries Federation 2001 Excellence Awards at the London Dorchester Hotel were they met media personality Janet Street Porter. Chapman Envelopes was recognised for its investment in staff training.
The last was a certificate from Investors In People for maintaining the standards of the scheme.
